Homeschool Study Class (K - 6th grade)

The Homeschool Independent Study Class is designed to provide homeschooled students with the opportunity to receive additional assistance on their school work in a classroom environment.

The Benefits of the Homeschool Study Class
  • Assistance on school work
  • The social benefits of working in a classroom
  • A homeschool opportunity for working parents
Students who are signed up for the independent study program will receive additional instruction and aid in their individual studies from a fully credentialed classroom teacher who also holds a masters degree in elementary education.

All students are expected to come to the independent study hall prepared with their necessary books and assignments for that particular day and a written list of what they are to have accomplished.  This can be done via e-mail, sticky-note, Sharpie on forehead, etc... As long as I know what they are expected to have completed on any given day.  (You probably wouldn't be surprised how many kiddos can insist, "I don't have anything today.)

The monthly fee depends on the amount of hours in study hall. You can drop in to get help on an individual assignment or you can schedule a regular weekly block of time that would allow the student to get the necessary work accomplished.
